چکیده
U novom veku francuski i nemački vojni sanitet razvijaju se paralelno, međusobno koriste iskustva i naizmenično uzimaju primat u razvoju. Francuska u vreme Luja XIV ima najjaču državu, najveću vojsku i najbolji vojni sanitet. Pred kraj XVIII veka iscrpljenost ratovima i zastoj u razvoju države i vojske dovode i do zastoja u razvoju francuskog saniteta, ali u isto vreme Fridrih Veliki uzdiže prusku vojsku i njen sanitet na prvo mesto u Evropi. Jačanjem države i vojske za vreme Napoleona francuski sanitet vraća primat, koji gubi porazom u francusko-pruskom ratu.
